Представлен обзор современных данных литературы, касающихся наследственного нарушения обмена веществ — глутаровой ацидурии І типа. На примере клинического случая проиллюстрирована сложность диагностического поиска и особенности лечения данного заболевания. Также сделан акцент на необходимости настороженности клиницистов для своевременного выявления потенциально курабельных орфанных заболеваний нервной системы.
